We started to use the term Botanical Care Services (BCS) over a decade ago to describe what we do. We felt this was the best way to convey our passion for plant care. With so many business and apps now catering to the plantaholics in us we know how confusing it can get. We care for plants by meeting their nutritional and environmental needs, understanding their origin is key for custom care. We also treat with non-toxic solutions made exclusively by the our company. Our solutions are biodegrable, pet and people safe, and still pack the power to eradicate common diseases caused by pests and fungi. For nutritional deficiencies we use an organic fertilizer made here in the US. We consider all aspects of plant care that are vital for them to flourish in your home and gardens. BOTANICAL CONSULTATION
We provide on-site or video consultations to help you determine the care or ailments of your indoor plants. For outdoor plants and gardens we recommend an in-house consultation by one of our expert garden designers. This visit will give you a more targeted analysis of the health of the garden followed by a report of our findings. Next, we will review the report with you, and suggest maintenance or basic remedial plant care prescriptions that you could implement on your own. We also offer the option of our team assuming these responsibilities with a time line for remedial care.
INDOOR PLANT CARE
We provide plant care and maintenance services specifically catered to your needs. From the comfort of your home our expert horticulturists and plant designers can assist you. We also offer a monthly service for plant collectors that gives you peace of mind. We will take care of all the details that help plants thrive long term and review the expectations of our services with you. From a watering and feeding schedule, to pest control, we create a custom schedule for the species of plants in your home or commercial spaces. Monthly service fees are based on the number of plants, their size, and their current health status. We recommend booking a consultation in order to have a better understanding of your customized service package. This is also a great option for short term plant health improvements and frequent travelers.
INDOOR PLANT DESIGN
Plant design encompasses several steps in its selection process. We start with a consultation where we can make notes on the aesthetic of your home and personal style. From there we will begin a selection of plants that are compatible with the seasonal sun exposure in your home. We do things a little different than our competitors because we consider many things including if plants are toxic to pets and young children. We also look to connect the new additions with the existing objects within your home. A specific plant can complement colors, patterns and even textures.
GARDEN DESIGN
In our garden designs we encourage our clients to use native species and non-native non-invasive species that have similar care needs, are compatible with the local climate, sustains the local flora and fauna, and migratory birds. Now more than ever it is critical that we design gardens that are sustainable, will support the local ecosystems, reduce water consumption and waste material by in-home composting.
PERMACULTURE DESIGN
Permaculture has become popular in recent years and we are so thrilled that people are transforming their lawn gardens into an area where they can grow food. Growing your own organic food is a wonderful way to offset food cost, gain food security, and enjoy the health benefits of growing your own heirloom fruits, veggies, medicinal florals, and fruit trees. Many of our clients that have children, have expressed an interest in them learning more about where their foods comes from. LANDSCAPING DESIGN
When designing landscapes we consider adjacent gardens, wooded areas, and structures to create a cohesive and complementary palette aligned with the client's visual aspiration. We work closely with architectural landscapers to provide structural integrity for optimal long term solutions that will be enjoyed in all seasons.
PEST SOLUTIONS
Our approach to effective pest control is to maximize prevention of common garden and indoor plant pests and disease causing fungi to catch infestations before they start. Our maintenance services include routine inspection of plants for presence of pests and fungal growth that may become problematic if left unchecked. Our pest treatment strategies use methods that are safe for humans, pets, and the environment, such as soapy mixtures, beneficial live predatory insects, and microorganisms that target specific pests, their early life stages.
GARDEN MAINTENANCE
Our garden maintenance services are catered to urban backyards, and enclosed atriums or terrace gardens with combined container and in-ground vegetation. Maintenance care includes, soil testing, nutrient replenishment, seasonal planting and winterizing preparation, watering and irrigation management, deadheading, and species appropriate pruning of shrubs, ornamentals, and trees. We also monitor for common pest infestation, pest treatment, and area cleaning. Customized packages are based on the size of the garden.
PRESSURE WASHING
We offer standard pressure washing for cement slab garden terraces, stairs, driveways, patio furniture, and composite benches to remove dirt, mud, grime, soot, leaf stains, and mold.
TERRACE FLOORS
The longterm structural integrity of any garden can be achieved with a combination of plants, trees, shrubs, and naturally derived materials such as brick or slab stone. A wide selection of permeable flooring options can resolve many garden problems but also assist in the aesthetic completion of the terrace garden. This is also a sustainable way of designing gardens to allow rainfall to absorb into the soil, avoid damage to lower areas, and leveling the ground.
